Families should also be aware that there may be more than one family at each baptism ceremony.

Requesting Baptism for a Child

It is the responsibility of the parents of the child to request baptism for their child. This can be done by completing the Baptism Application Form. The form should be accompanied by a copy of the child’s Birth Certificate. If the family currently resides outside the Parish of Killea, Crooke and Faithlegg, then they should also send in a letter from their current parish priest stating that he is aware that their child is being baptised outside their current parish and that he gives his consent to this.

Requesting Baptism for an Adult

Adults wishing to be baptised into the Catholic Church or who were baptised in another Christian Community and now wish to be received as full members of the Catholic Church, should contact their local parish priest or the Diocesan Offices.

Useful Documents

Those wishing to apply for baptism for their child should complete and return the Baptism Application Form which can be obtained from the Parish Office.
